The Hydron Module difference Why Hydron Module

The Hydron Module brand is founded on the basic principle of quality craftsmanship. From inception, Hydron Module geothermal systems have been built with the simple idea of good people taking pride in producing the best products.

That principle has lead us to be recognized by industry trade associations and certified for compliance with safety standards and efficiency minimums.

Hydron Module brand has the broadest residential product offering in the industry. There is a Hydron Module system for virtually every application.

Assurance

Each Hydron Module unit is put through rigorous quality testing at the manufacturing plant before it is deemed fit for shipping. No other geothermal manufacturer has testing as robust or standards as high. We are so confident in the caliber of our equipment that the Hydron Module brand carries the best warranty in the geothermal industry. This not only conveys our dedication, but also drives us to excel. Read about our industry leading warranty

In addition to life spans far exceeding that of conventional systems, all of our units have coated air coils to prevent corrosion. This give our units longer life and reliability over our competitor's geothermal systems.

Efficiency

Efficiency & Capacity

All Hydron Module units come equipped with an oversized, copper rifled coaxial water heat exchanger, providing significantly higher efficiencies than required by the ENERGY STAR program.

Unit for unit, Hydron Module systems have higher heating capacities than our competitors. That means less reliance on supplemental heat and ultimately lower heating costs when compared with other geothermal brands.

Performance & Reliability

Hydron Module split systems have AHRI (Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute) certified air handler matches for every model. That means better performance and guarantees the operating efficiency of the system, which is a requirement for many rebate and incentive programs.

Hydron Module heat pumps exclusively use Copeland scroll compressors. This proven compressor technology ensures better reliability due to fewer moving parts. The inherent design of the scroll compressor requires less energy than other compressors to do the same amount of work. This results in higher efficiencies.

Our heavy gauge steel cabinet is typically two to four gauges thicker than our competitors, ensuring solid construction that lasts a lifetime.

Innovation that leads to Flexibility

Hydron Module's dedication to innovation is demonstrated with its groundbreaking Revolution Series geothermal units. The cabinet features appealing, appliance-grade brushed stainless steel access panels and rounded corners. Design elements such as quadruple compressor isolation provide the best combination of sound and vibration absorption available, making the Revolution series among the quietest geothermal heat pumps on the market. The innovative Revolution Series won a 2010 gold Dealer Design award from The ACHR News (a leading HVAC industry magazine) in the HVAC Residential Equipment category.

A hybrid heating system is possible with Hydron Module split systems. In combination with a new or existing natural gas/oil/propane furnace, the split system will provide all of the air conditioning for the home, as well as 80-90% of the heating requirements. The system will switch over to the furnace in extreme cold temperatures for the remainder of the time, providing optimum comfort and efficiency.

Built in SouthD

American Made

Hydron Module units are assembled in the heart of America using the most stringent quality control systems. Our superior craftsmanship ensures a lifetime of solid construction.

This allows us to say that we're proud to be built in "South D". Mitchell, South Dakota has been home to our manufacturing facility for over two decades and we're not going anywhere anytime soon.

Standard features

Extras that shouldn't be 'Extra'

Every Hydron Module water-to-water unit is reversible, offering chilled water air conditioning standard with the system. Unlike with some other geothermal units, you will never have to invest in a supplemental air conditioning unit for your Hydron Module geothermal system.

Hot Water Generator is standard with all Hydron Module units. This allows you to capture unused heat and apply it to water heating, typically cutting hot water costs by 50 - 60%.

ECM blower motors are standard on all Hydron Module equipment. These variable speed motors ensure quiet start up and operate at a fraction of the cost of a conventional blower motor.

  • 1989

Hydron Module started out in a 1,200 square foot building used by the community for electrical maintenance. A three-ton unit with a stainless steel cabinet was designed and built from components that came from equipment maintenance stock. Millbrook was at that time converting all their heating & cooling equipment to ground source technology.

  • 1993

The Hydron Module brand expanded. A testing facility was built and Hydron Module production was moved into a larger building. A full line of forced air equipment, 1.5 through 5 tons, were designed and built to meet all certification guidelines.

  • 1995

Millbrook completed all certifications and started marketing the Hydron Module brand throughout the Central United States.

  • 1997

The production facility expanded to 4,800 square feet and started to develop a wider variety of products for the geothermal industry.

  • 2000

Production footprint again expanded to total 10,000 square feet.

  • 2001

Hydron Module had grown into a production company and Millbrook decided to make Hydron Module a limited liability corporation; so Hydron Module, LLC was formed and a new 55,000 square foot facility was built for the company.

  • 2005

Hydron Module, LLC started growing beyond its new facility. A 20,000 square foot facility in Mitchell, SD was purchased enabling production sufficient to meet the needs of the growing industry.

  • 2007

The Hydron Module brand, intellectual property and manufacturing facilities were sold to Enertech Manufacturing, LLC. Hydron Module, the company, ceased to exist, while Hydron Module the geothermal brand continued to be produced by Enertech Manufacturing, LLC.

  • 2017

After two plant expansions, Hydron Module systems continue to be produced in Mitchell, South Dakota, in the now 80,000 square foot state-of-the art production facility. Quality craftsmanship continues to be the foundation of the Hydron Module brand.
